D is for Demons (spoiler alert, these are the bad guys)

In my novel, demons have found a home on earth. They’ve taken on human form and they love to hang out at the Hell Hole–an underground, goth bar where they fit right in.  They know all about Solomon’s Ring and if there’s a group of folks who’d love to get their talons on it, you can bet it’s the ones who stand to be controlled by it.

The church has figured out that the ring is not a piece of jewelry after all, but a ring of “people” who each possess a supernatural ability to manipulate the elements around them. Individually, they each hold a special power in their hands, but together they complete a circle of energy that gives the “wielder” of the ring the power to control the demons.

Trouble is, the demons know that part too. Not only are they searching for the four elements, they’re looking for the wielder as well.

But what would a demon do with a ring that had the power to control the demons…hmmm….

That must be a bit of a conundrum for a demon, maybe even a risk, assembling a ring that can control you if you’re not careful – sounds like playing with fire.
